Tourinza

Privacy Policy

How Tourinza collects, uses and protects your personal data, in line with India's DPDP Act and the GDPR.

Last updated: October 2026

Tourinza ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tourinza.com and our booking process, how we use it, and the rights you have over it — in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, 2023) and, for travellers booking from abroad, the EU's GDPR.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • When you send an enquiry: your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, travel date, number of travellers, budget preference, message, and the page you sent it from.
  • When you book a tour: your name, email, phone number, travel date, pickup time, number of travellers, the tour and package you chose, any special requests, and the payment option you selected.
  • When you pay online: your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and go directly to Razorpay — we never see or store them. We receive and keep the payment's reference, status, amount and method.
  • When you use our AI trip assistant: the messages you type (see section 3).

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, collected through the analytics and advertising tools described in section 6.
  • For bookings paid online, the IP address and browser details from when you started the payment, so the purchase can be recorded accurately with our advertising partner (see section 4).
  • IP addresses kept for a few hours to protect our forms from spam and automated abuse.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your enquiry and, if you book, to plan and deliver your tour (arranging drivers, guides and, where applicable, hotels).
  • To send you booking confirmations and updates relevant to your trip.
  • To improve our website and tours based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
  • To send occasional offers or updates, only if you've agreed to hear from us — you can opt out at any time.

3. Our AI Trip Assistant

Our "Plan with AI" assistant suggests tours based on what you type. Your messages, and the conversation so far, are sent to Google's Gemini AI service to generate the reply. We store the conversation with a random session identifier and the page you were on, and use these records to improve our tours and understand which trips travellers are looking for.

The assistant doesn't need personal details — please don't type your name, contact details or anything sensitive into it. If you choose "Talk to a travel expert", the details you enter there are handled like any other enquiry.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only where it's needed to run our business, and we do not sell it.

  • Our guides, drivers, and hotels or activity partners (where your package includes them) — to deliver your tour. They receive your name, contact number, travel date, pickup details and any requests relevant to them.
  • Razorpay (India) — to process online payments. Razorpay receives the payment details you enter at checkout, plus the amount and booking reference.
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram) — to measure and improve our advertising, only if you accept cookies (see section 6). Meta then receives information about your activity on our website through the Meta Pixel. When you send an enquiry, tap our WhatsApp button or pay online, we also send Meta your email address and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form, together with your IP address and browser details, so Meta can match the action to an ad you may have seen.
  • Google — for website analytics (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, only if you accept cookies), the maps on our tour pages (Google Maps), and our AI trip assistant (Gemini). Google receives website usage data, your IP address when a map loads, and the messages you send the AI assistant.
  • Hostinger — hosts our website and email, so the data we hold is stored on their servers.
  • Sentry — alerts us to website errors. It receives technical details of an error (the page, browser and error message), not names or contact details.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — if you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
  • tawk.to — our live chat, which loads on every page so we can see when you're browsing and offer help. tawk.to receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit, along with your language and currency and — on the booking page — the tour, date and number of travellers you've chosen, so we can help without asking you to repeat yourself. If you chat with us, it also receives your messages and anything you choose to share in them (such as your name or email), and stores the conversation so we can reply.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. International Transfers

Some of the providers above — including Google, Meta, Sentry and tawk.to — process data outside India and outside your own country, including in the United States. Where we use them, we rely on their standard contractual safeguards for international data transfers.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses the following cookies:

  • tourinza_locale and tourinza_currency (Tourinza) — remember your language and currency. Kept for 1 year.
  • tourinza_consent (Tourinza) — remembers your answer to the cookie banner. Kept for 6 months, after which we ask again.
  • _fbp and _fbc (Meta) — advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel, only if you accept. Kept for up to 90 days.
  • _ga and _ga_* (Google) — website analytics, only if you accept. Kept for up to 2 years.
  • Razorpay may set its own cookies during checkout to keep your payment secure.
  • tawk.to sets its own cookies when a page loads, to keep the live chat available and your conversation going across pages and visits.

The Meta and Google cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner, and the Meta data described in section 4 is only sent if you have accepted. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Our own cookies only remember your language, currency and cookie choice, so they are always on; you can still block or delete any cookie in your browser settings.

7. Data Security

We use standard safeguards (encrypted connections, restricted access to booking records) to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so while we work to protect your data, we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Under India's DPDP Act (and GDPR, if applicable to you), you can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete your personal information, once we no longer need it to fulfil a booking or a legal obligation.
  • Stop sending you marketing communications.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, for example to our storing your enquiry details — this doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, just email us at hello@tourinza.com. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Data Retention

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to deliver your tour and for the period Indian tax and accounting law requires. We keep enquiries and AI assistant conversations only for as long as they're useful for responding to you and improving our service. After that, records are deleted or anonymised, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

10. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to third-party sites (for example, Tripadvisor or Google Maps). We aren't responsible for their privacy practices — please check their own policies before sharing information with them.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults booking travel. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what a parent or guardian provides as part of a family booking (such as a child traveller's name and age for tour planning purposes).

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally; the current version will always be posted here with an updated date.

13. Grievance Contact

For any privacy question or complaint, email hello@tourinza.com with "Privacy" in the subject, or call +91-7900226636. We aim to respond within 30 days.
